Match Report:
Another good win, this week against Laurimar who ensured that all of our boys knew that they had been in a physical contest by the end of the afternoon. Battling a cold, Scott Gumbleton played the entire game out of the goal square and finished with a bag of 11, sending a message to selectors that James Kroussoratis’ return game in two weeks may be out of a forward pocket. In the middle, Kieran Malone and Dan Kelly continued their recent good form with 30 possession games whilst Jacob Smith brought his own ball, registering 3 major amongst his 40 touches in one of the most dominant displays by a Bear this season. Down back, Ben Embleton and Jye Keath both had good games providing some quality rebound. We now look forward to our final bye of the season before a huge clash against South Morang at Mill Park Lakes.

Match Report:
This week we hosted laurimar at home and before the game we spoke about our poor starts to every game this year,so with our focus on starting well our first 10 min was spot on with 3 quick centre clearances we got 4 goals on the board early but for the next 10 minutes it was a scrappy battle. The second quarter was very similar to the first with some good patches and some ordinary patches as well, for us to be a strong finals side we need to put sides away early the longer we keep sides in the game the harder we will make it on our selves against the top sides. The second half went pretty much the way it has gone all year to kick 9 goals in the first half to then kicking 19 in the 2nd half, on one positive we are running games with plenty of run ,i would like to see what this team is capable of if you were to play 4 full quarters. With up to 9 players to come back in over the next 2 weeks spot are going to be hard to get so training and playing well is a must now if you want to hold your spot.
