Match Report:
Saturday's contest was always going to be tough given the calibre of the opposition and the inclimate weather which made ball handling difficult. South Morang adjusted to the wet better and quickly got out to a 4 goal lead before our boys steadied and wrestled some momentum back going into quarter time with 2 late goals. The second quarter saw the reverse with us kicking unanswered goals before South Morang fired back to level the scores at half time. Through some quality work in the middle from Devin McDonald, Dan Kelly, Riley Keath and Kieran Malone and goal smarts from James Kroussoratis , Matt Yarwood, Mikey Edwards and Adam Barclay up forward, we were able to kick away and run out 34 point victors. Once again our backline, led by Nick Biscontin, Ryan Keys and Ben Embleton were simply outstanding. A special mention also to Sean Downes who, playing in his first senior game as the 23rd man, was outstanding up forward kicking a much needed major and directly setting up two others during a tough second quarter when the game was in the balance.

Match Report:
we were keen for a big game agains south morang , with what looked like one of our better side in we were looking forward for a much needed win. with a strong breeze blowing towards the river end both sides waisted plenty of opportunitys in a hard and scrappy first half with very little between both side at the half. again it was a scrappy quarter with glimpses of some good footy but not enough going into the last quarter 2 goals behind. we again had the wind in the last and were not able to come away with the wind we need to understand to win games of football we need 4 quarters of solid footy from all 24 players not from the same 3-4 each week.
